Finding clues to your ancestry is what genealogy is all about and it's no coincidence that providing those clues in a user friendly way is what this genealogy free search site is all about.

Take time to find your way around - there's a lot to see. Free resources as well such as, free software and free genealogy websites. Clues

Finding clues though is just the beginning. Knowing how to put those clues together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle is the key.

Sherlock Holmes loved a good mystery and so do I. Your family mystery is your ancestry and it may not be a best seller, but it will provide your with answers about who your ancestors were and the lives they led. Genealogy is the study of your ancestors that perhaps you knew next to nothing about before today. Excited by the prospect of sifting through the clues that determined who YOU are?

I'll show you where to look and how to get the most from your ancestors clues - and they are all around. You just need some gentle guidance (my job) and determination (your job).

Here's a sample of what's available here:

  • Begin online with genealogy free search capabilities without the need for a degree in computer science.

    •

The Websters Dictionary defines genealogy as:

      • An account of the descent of a person, family or group from an ancestor.

      • The study of family pedigrees.

      As dull as.....?

      No way!.
Genealogy (correct!), geaneology or geneolgy - whichever way you spell it, is all about tracing your ancestors, hence anceSTORY! Did you ever have the yearning deep inside to know what makes you, you?
Of course you have otherwise you wouldn't be here.....remember, there are no accidents.

In a nutshell you are you because of your.....ancestors.
And tracing your anceSTORY is genealogy, which is the most popular hobby in the world today.

The attraction of family history remains a bit of a mystery to the ordinary man in the street, but to those of us with the 'bug', it's crystal clear. Who we are and where we came from, that's the lure that has countless thousands staring square eyed at computer monitors all over the world.

Clue #1 - To move forward, go backwards.

      Sound a bit cryptic?
Start with you and then work your way back as far as you can go. Your parents, their parents and so on. Write down dates of birth, marriage, death etc. We'll get to the forms you need and how to fill them in shortly. For the moment, just take it one step at a time and get comfortable finding your way around my site.

CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE NO LONGER CLUELESS!
